more joy than sorrow

When my sister got married, she and her fiance asked me to make a speech at the reception. It was a gift for them, but also for me. It caused me to pause and think about what I would wish for them in their life together. I wanted to give them hope, but with an honest voice. I thought for a long time about the best way to say this, What I have come to learn is that I was also addressing the same emotion in my work. That night, surrounded by love we all raised our glasses for what I hope you will find as well, "a life filled with more chocolate than broccoli, more triumph than tragedy, more harmony than discord and more joy than sorrow".
